VS Code Extension

Install Venix

Follow the steps below to install Venix in VS Code. Takes less than 2 minutes.

Step 1

Download Extension

Download .vsix
STEP 2

Open VS Code

Make sure you have VS Code installed. Download at code.visualstudio.com if needed.

STEP 3

Install from VSIX

In VS Code, open the Command Palette:

Mac

Cmd + Shift + P

Windows / Linux

Ctrl + Shift + P

Then type and select:

Extensions: Install from VSIX...

Then select the venix-0.1.0.vsix file you downloaded.

STEP 4

Add your Venice.ai API Key

Open VS Code Settings (Ctrl+, / Cmd+,), search for "venix.apiKey", and paste your key. Get a free key at venice.ai/settings/api.

STEP 5

Start coding

AI completions appear automatically as you type. Right-click selected code for Explain, Refactor, and Fix options.
